    I don't understand how anyone can have hate/dislikes in them for another human being for absolutely no reason.

    Hate is a strong word, and to hate someone just for the sake of hating based on their nature is kind of messed up. :/

    I don't think it's a very helpful mindset to adopt. Even though it's true that humans can do bad things, you're not going to make any changes if you just resign yourself to the mindset that all humans are intrinsically evil. I don't think that's true and if you're positive about humans, you're probably more likely to notice when people do good things.

    I think misanthropes do hate people for a reason, that reason being the general dislike of human nature. To some extent, whether it is demonstrated through our actions or not, we are all selfish, ignorant, egotistical and prejudiced. I guess misanthropy stems from just choosing to focus on those traits.
