How soon should I look into next year's accommodation?

I know it's a bit early, but how soon should I be looking into off campus accommodation for the next school year? And are there any recommended property agents I should look into?

Hi there,

We recommend the City of York Council's YorProperty accreditation scheme: http://www.yorproperty.co.uk particularly the 'YorPropertyPlus' properties which are an even higher standard.

Unless your offer is unconditional, you should wait until you get your results to look for private sector accommodation as they won't release you from your contract if you don't end up coming to the University.

Even if you have an unconditional offer, there's no rush to sign a contract - there's plenty of private sector accommodation in easy walking distance of the University. Other students may have advice on the best time to look!
