I achieved CCD at AS, I am currently retaking modules to improve these grades. I do History, Politics and Lit/Lang. I understand that for a Law LLB course you must achieve AAB and for Modern History and Politics you need ABB. I believe I can achieve ABB, and not AAB come the end of this year. Would my best bet be to go for the History/Politics or Law? Need advice, urgently.

I'd go for the history/politics degree.

The reason being that law is ferociously competitive. Applying with CCD at AS will mean that predictions of AAB are likely to be viewed as grade inflation. When you consider the fact that they'll be inundated with applicants who actually did get AAB, or even as low as BBC, there's an extremely low chance of you actually getting an offer - even then, it'd be damn hard to meet it.

The history/politics degree already is a grade lower, and dual honours courses are typically less competitive - certainly far less competitive than law. Even though grades of CCD will still make an offer unlikely, your odds are far better.

If on results day you end up with AAB, then you could take a gap year and reapply for law in the next cycle. But going for it with CCD at AS is probably not going to yield any results.
