I am thinking about doing a maths and economics course at uni, and I was just wondering, do I need to have a great interest in looking at and keeping up with the news and current affairs stuff? I am mainly interested in maths, but I also really like economics for its practicality and use in business and stuff. Do you think that I would have a hard time doing well or even getting in if I am not interested in keeping up with the current affairs?
