    Hi all,

I am in my third year now, studying Psychology. For my dissertation, I want to assess how personality factors, perceived social support and coping strategies contribute to post traumatic growth. However my supervisor informed me that I could not do a project on trauma due to the fact that it will not be practical, nor ethical. Instead she suggested basing it around stress and how people handle stressful situations.

In my research however, all of the studies that I have found use stress, coping, support and personality as factors that contribute to psychological health. I was wondering if anybody knows how I can tackle this issue? I have tried using the terms "reaction to stress" or "short-term stress" in my literature searches, however this hasn't helped much.
