I spent ages really struggling to write my personal statement because I was stressing about writing what the universities wanted to hear.
Once I decided to just write what I felt, it all became much easier and it pretty much wrote itself. I guess I was lucky in that I really did care very deeply about my subject and really had been wanting to study it since the age of four.
(Having said that, Ellen90 and Scitty, I know exactly what you mean...) -

What I wanted to write:
So I'm not totally sure what this course is, I think I get the gist of it though, and I think I'm gonna get quite good A-levels.
I don't know what I want to be, or why I want to study this. but I promise I'll work hard, harder than I do at the moment.
I've also never been to this university or even city, god knows what it's like. I just need to get into uni because I'm short on options here and fees are going up next year.
See you in September!
