Bearing in mind that a levels are now linear, i want to ask how important are as grades for medicine.
i am currently doing three AS which are chem bio and maths. On top of it i will also be doing EPQ (currently i am in year 12).
When i go to year 13 i am thinking of doing AS physics and continuing with 3 A2 in maths, bio and chem.
therefore at the end of year 13 in 2017, i will have three A2 grades and 5 AS including EPQ.
my question now is that will uni except another as in year 13

Most medical schools have not yet announced any concrete proposals because these reforms are fairly difficult to work with -- until now they've been able to use AS results (some, not all) to see if a candidate is on track to make their standard offer. But now it's become the case that not all candidates will have AS results and this means that it can't really be used as an objective measure by which to compare candidates. After all, it's somewhat unfair to still require AS levels in year 12 because that would be disadvantaging people simply for attending a school that decided against retaining the AS.

You should watch the UCAS website to see what universities come up with. :dontknow: Most schools will also release an annual admissions document detailing what the admissions criteria will be used that year so check the websites of medical schools you're interested in from time to time.
