I don't mind where you apply as long as it's not Johns!

Did you get to look at the SPS Faculty?

P.S. Of course I am persistant. The existence of this forum is proof of my sheer stubborness

Just a wander past it I'm afraid.
I did however get a chicken tikkah roll and the sight of a duck instead so I am suitably consoled.

Anyways I'm heading off to bed now. It's goodnight from me...

Yeah I've heard it's later. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing if I get a Cam offer and miss my grades a bit next year.

Hmm, I reckon it's a good thing. If I do miss my grades, I'll phone up Oxford and beg for them to hold my place til appeal results come through Presumably if they haven't got the A-level results, they wont have made any concrete decisions?

They come out on the 23rd apparently in England.

If I miss, I'm going into appeal overdrive immediately

    Wow, 13 days later!

I recently found out that when a friend of a friend who didn't meet her AAA offer for Cambridge (she got AAB) appealed, it turned out the marker had missed out a whole page of an essay, so she got in after the appeal came through I hope Oxford have the same attitude/policy!

I read somewhere that some guy missed his grades and didn't get his appeal until the term had started, but they defered his entry until the next year.

    I can't appeal

Didn't you get an A in your english prelim? And you could appeal anyway, in case they marked it wrong or something.

I got an A by 2%, thats not enough to appeal on and I didn't really get As the rest of the year as well. Also, in appeals they don't look at you exam at all according to Mr Clark- they just look at the other work instead. So if I haven't got an A theres pretty much nothing I can do.
You can still appeal, you never know. And at the end of the day, hold out for the A.

The appeals process sucks, actually, but there you go

GOOD LUCK! <-- edit: I can't believe I forgot that! You will be *great* *g*
