Privy Council of the Model House of Commons
The Privy Council can be defined as "a body of advisers to the TSR Sovereign".

Membership is for life, but can be ended through resignation or expulsion in exceptional circumstances.

For guidance on membership, please use the RL precedent.

Party leaders should nominate their Privy Council members here.
A wiki membership list will be created in due course.

If we're really doing this, as for Tories, it should be bun, Rakas21, Krollo, mobbsy91 and myself.

    I'll update this if needed.

Birchington do you actually mean nominate or do you mean that you should confirm with your party who is a member?

I shall look back at who in TSR Labour is already a de facto Privy Counsellor.

I've looked through the green sub-forum and from what little I gleamed I think that

miser shoudl be in the privy council.

St. Brynjar, Kittiara, Superunknown17, Blue Meltwater, James Milibanter, Aph, Little Toy Gun, The Marshall, McRite should also be in the council. There might be more people but I can't recall or see anyone else.

What about the members of the House who, shortly after I became the Steward of the Chiltern Hundreds in a previous parliament, voted to abolish the Monarchy? Surely they cannot become Privy Councillors if they will not swear an oath to Her Majesty the Queen?

It was my understanding that we should only list active members. There would be many more if we were to include the inactive ones.

Actually, another active member, and no less than a former PM, is Indievertigo.

    If Junior Ministries count:

    KingOfSwing

And I believe both Imperion and emiloujess served late on in the GreenKipLib government.

As much as I was looking forward to working with emiloujess I believe she was only appointed in the last 2 days so I'm not sure if she counts.

Junior ministries (except Chief Sec which is technically junior but in reality is a Cabinet post in all but name, with full attendance rights) do not count.

Should Mobbsy not have served in government or does he get it just for being in the shadow leadership?

    ...

Aph and Petros, perhaps we could set a convention to prevent half the MP's here being Rt. Hon. By limiting it to those cabinet MP's who actually authored a bill (plus of course the leaders of each party).

I have added a poll to decide how we proceed with the Privy Council.

Please choose one of these 2 options:

    1) Continue the Privy Council with no change to existing membership.
    2) As suggested by Saoirse, remove any members appointed prior to the first Great Repeal (any dates before and up to October 2010)

I included him for being the Deputy leader of the Opposition twice.

We could possibly limit it to the Great offices?
