Graduate Internships in NYC? watch

    • Thread Starter

I'm honestly so confused about life right now and can't seem to find advice anywhere so I'm hoping you lovely people on TSR may be able to help me!

It's always been a dream of mine to live in NYC. Problem is, Americans are so strict about their visas and all that, and rarely employ Brits if they believe an American can do the job to the same standard (so like 99% of the time??).

I've been looking at doing an internship there but it's just so frustrating.

I'd like to be over there for the best part of a year, but when you look at programs like the intern group, they're charging extortionate amounts for it and the internship is unpaid.

I know it'll cost me money in the long run, but i'd like an internship that at least pays ~something~ so I'm not having to save up £10,000+ for a year before embarking upon the internship!

Does anyone have any advice on how to approach this besides doing it through one of these programs?! I'd be interested in working in Fashion PR/Marketing/Journalism if that helps at all!

    Thanks in advance
