I wish to teach Sociology A level in further education so am doing a course to facilitate that prior to applying for post compulsory pgce.

I see that a lot of job vacancies for sociology teachers also say that the ability to teach psychology would be an advantage.

I'm currently doing a PgCert in Sociology (undergraduate degree is a totally different subject).

My question is this: next year I'm not sure what makes the most sense: do more sociology units to top up to a PgDip in this subject OR spend that same amount of money on doing a PgCert in Psychology instead.

In an ideal world my aim would be to do a PgDip in both but it's a budgeting thing.

Hope this question makes sense and that someone is able to advise me with it
