RVC social life!?

I was jus wonderin if any current RVC students could give me an insight into the social life. I'm a bit worried as it is a vet only college and so i wont have the chance to socialise with people from other courses like i would at other unis. Do you mainly just socialise with people on the vet course or do you get to meet people from other courses etc?? Also any suggestions on which accomodation to go for?

hey, im hopefully off to RVC next year and ive asked some ppl already there the same question! if you go into intercollegiate halls you are more likely to meet people who arent vets as large mix of ppl from many london unis! but you'll probably find some of your friends at school atm will go to a london uni, meet up with them and then you can meet their friends  also, at RVC you can join clubs and societies of the university of london, enabling you to meet ppl that arent vets...im sure you will have fun wherever you go!

yeah i can do nothing more 2 reiterate what e_s_esmie and Lucyx. have said. If u'r keen on sports then the london uni teams shud be a good way of meeting people - i plan 2 go 2 RVC and i play lacrosse professionally for my club and south england, so the london unis team will be great. also, u can meet up with friends of urs hu are @ other london universities like e_s_esmie said. i live in london so i'm gna try and keep in contact with most of my friends leaving school, and some still @ school.

Im at RVC and apart from the people I knew from school and the people I have met through friends who were in intercollegiate halls last year, i dont know any non-vets. It hard to mix coz RVC is quite out of the way of the other colleges. If you go to the studenty type bars around london such as the rocket, you can meet a few but its quite difficult to meet other people.

Intercollegiate halls are the bestr way to go if you want to meet other non vets. A lot of my friends who were in them last year did find it hard with the workload tho, as everyone else has much less work on. so mary b and college grove are both good as your with vets who know the workload is tough.

Whatever you decide your bound to make fantastic friends! Join sports within the RVC (there are loads!) and you'll get to meet older years and vet scis/vet nurses etc.

whats the deal with pubs/clubs in the camden area.

when i went to visit it seemed to mainly be small bars, i dont know london very well but i presume it has a good night life. so what type of places do the vets all go to? ive heard sumthin bout a vet pub, where students have called their local for years is this true?
im from newcastle which has a pretty wild nightlife, so im used to that and i would hope that in london its that same? any info u guys, cos im joining u there in sept.
