    Im looking to go to university in 2016 to study nursing, im on an access course at the moment and working part time. Im worried that if i go to university im going to struggle to support myself. I live with my brother. What financial support may i be entitled to?

    it doesn't matter who you live with when it comes to student finance/NHS finance, it comes down to meeting other criteria such as being 25 or over or having self supported for 3 or more years, full criteria here http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/Documents/S...6)_07.2014.pdf

    As a student on a health course you would be entitled to fees paid for by the NHS, £1000 non means tested bursary, potentially a means tested NHS bursary and around £2,500 as a non means tested loan from student finance

    In addition to what Jelly said, you will be able to get a Council Tax reduction and possibly housing benefit depending on your brother's circumstances like whether or not he is your dependant or if the tenancy is joint. If you have your own separate tenancy agreement you might get help with rent. The maintenance loan can be up to about 8.5k depending on your/your household's income.
