Is AQA A level Chem and Bio easier than A level Edexcel Bio and OCR Chem Salters?

Should I go to a school which does AQA Biology and Chemistry A level or to a school with Edexcel Biology and OCR Salters Chemistry? Also I'm more interested in the human biology of biology, would the exam boards have different contents?

Hello,
OCR Salters Chemistry and Edexcel Biology are the hardest courses that there are for A level, however they are more applicable to real life situations so therefore are more interesting and applicable for the future (uni etc)

AQA is the easier exam board to do, but sometimes the questions are less relatable.

To counteract the harder board, OCR allow more leeway in the mark scheme.
Either way, it's your choice.
Go with whichever school/college you prefer; when you are happy, the studies will be easier for you.

In response to Biology, the Edexcel course has a large quantity of Human Biology.

I'm studying both OCR Salters and Edexcel Salters Nuffield and have heard from tutors about the AQA board.

How big is the difference in difficulty are the exam boards for those subjects?

Also how hard is AQA biology in terms of the difficulty of the essay question? Is the difficulty comparable to OCR B Salters chemistry?

Ofqual moderates the results for the different exam boards so that they are of equal difficulty for a subject. One specification might suit one person more than another, but it is not accurate to say that one is harder than another.

Heya! I would recommend looking at the past papers to see how different they are! You can find examples of each type of bio and chem pastpapers using this link. Have a look through them and see which one is better looking for you

I hope this helps!
