Theoretically, you are not supposed to be able to find the keycode.

Unless you have it recorded somewhere, you are stuffed, unless you are prepared to use a "key-generator" which is not entirely legal, as you wouldn't have to buy the software to get a key that way.

If your software (e.g. a PC game) connects to a central server or similar via the internet, then the keycode is verifired, and things are bad if it is the same as someone else's. You may want to contact the technical support of the software manufacturer to see if they can help you.
