# Help with typing in the cosine rule into calculator watch

1. i have a feeling my calculator isnt very cooperative. what's the best way to put cosine rule into the calc? i dont think putting it in one go will help, how would you break it up?

a2 = b2 + c2 - 2bc cos A

cosine rule :
a2 = b2 + c2 - 2bc cos A
Take it in as many steps as you like. Depends on what you want to find as well.

Eg finding a^2, find cosA first, multiply by b,c, and -2, add to c^2, add to b^2, square root everything and Bob is your father's brother.
