I received an 'AB' offer for Nottingham and like a large number of Further Maths students I have taken my Maths A2 already, am I correct in assuming that the A2 Maths A would not contribute to the AB and is the reason I have a two grade offer rather than a three grade one?
It does not state anything about whether it does or not in the offer and I thought I would ask here before bugging their admissions team

Yes, they've taken your achieved A-level in Maths into account.

Does this mean that for for example AAA offers that I would need to get three additional A's? There is a lack in uniformity between the Universities its so stressful

It depends, some universities will give you that offer and are happy enough to include the Maths A-level as part of that whilst some would want you to get a further 3 As. In the majority of cases, it's the former.

I'd find it a tad strange if they offered you AAA instead of AA.
