This is kind of physics related i guess,

I am wanting to design a circuit that reacts to changes in velocity but i do not know how to do this. This is for an automatic brake light. I am wanting an LED to turn on when the velocity decreases gradually and then flash when velocity decreases rapidly. If anyone knows a circuit and can draw one please can you send it to me.

    Thanks

for cheapness and simplicity you could use a couple of tilt switches to detect high and low acceleration, you'd have to pre-tilt them by different amounts.

if you were driving the LED from the output of a 2 input logic gate you could have one of the gate's inputs attached straight to the low acceleration detector and one of the gate's inputs attached to a flasher triggered by the high acceleration detector... can you think of a type of gate that'd give you the desired outputs?
