I've got a job as a christmas temp at boots and i may be jumping the gun a bit here but i honestly hate it. ive only done a couple of shifts but they threw me right in at the deep end and havent explained anything to me like about stock and stuff and what to do with returns etc.

Since I'm only a temp i will finish at like the start of January but can i leave earlier? or do i have to wait it out?

look at your contract, you will usually have a notice period you are required to give, e.g. you have to tell them 2 weeks before you leave that you are quitting... is it not worth speaking to your manager and explaining you feel a little overwhelmed and asking for some training?

If youve only started, chances are you're still in probation so can leave without notice.. check your contract.

As above. It will be clear what your notice period is and while nobody can force you to work you do breach your contract by not observing what it sets out (unenforceable covenants and such excepted).

Ask for some support and if it isn't forthcoming then give your notice - even if it is X amount of time they may well let you leave instantly because as a currently untrained temporary member of staff you would be of little use and not worth the time investment of training.
