Hi, I used to be able to work for 2 hours straight without getting distracted and I would be completely fine as I could remember what I was learning and id get it right too. I would repeat this 3 times a day on weekends so I would have done 6 hours in total but sometimes I still wouldn't be able to finish all my notes. So today I've set the same goal for 6 hours of revision but I can't concentrate! So far I've done 1 hour, had a 50 min break. And then I tried working again for another hour but I'm having trouble concentrating and I know this may sound lazy but I really really don't feel like revising. Even when I do 6 hours, I still can't finish all my notes. I'm not the type of person to cram, I do regularly revise after school as well. Am I going over the top? I want those A grades! Advice please? How much revision do you do?

    Thanks for reading
Ok, try 25 mins working, 5 mins break, 25 mins work etc. untill you finish your notes. Hopefully this will help.

I've heard its better to study in blocks of 50 mins as the brain stops absorbing after this time

Depends on the person though. For me revising in small intervals means I get shorter breaks so I don't feel like I have much incentive to work, and when I actually get onto my break I usually end up spending way longer than I should. I seem to be a lot happier doing about 2 - 3 hours in one go and then having a really long break.
