    I'm doing the IGCSE english Cambridge first language exam in a couple days and would like to know the amount of marks I need in the exam to achieve an A or A*.
    (This is the extended exam btw)
    coursework=45/50
    speaking and listening= 23/30
    Exam=??????

    I did this exam last year, and achieved a grade A overall. The marks for the exam paper depends on the component chosen by your teacher and the component you're studying.

    the component is.. 02 for exam, 84 for coursework and 05 for speaking and listening..

    The thing is even when we got our results, we didn't get out mark out of 50. I'm sure that's because they mark it around the basis of your coursework aswell. Ask your teachers, they can give you a unofficial mark scheme. I'm pretty sure it's 30+ to get a C.

    I did a mock a while ago and my teacher said above 40 out of 50 is an A* in the exam.
