FP1 series question

Hello all, there's a certain question which I cannot do when it comes to series, it is part B of this question, part A is the easiest 6 marks in the paper, however the second part I always seem to struggle with.

Please could someone give me some guidance? I know you have to split it up, but how?

Just do the sum from 1 to 3n minus the sum from 1 to n, (hope this is correct not done series in ages)
