Ok so i've recently got a new bank card and today I was booking cinema tickets online I entered my NEW card number and NEW expiry date, I then got distracted briefly and when i came to finish the order I filled in the 3 digit security code of my OLD card out of habit, I didn't realise till i'd hit submit but it brought up the password screen anyway and i filled that out as normal and the sale went through fine. I got the confirmation email and everything.
My question is how is this able to happen? Should this not have been blocked?

Personally I would check with the cinema that it went ok
I have never used a card to book cinema tickets- do you collect and show the card as proof or is a print out acceptable?
When you book a train ticket online you normally have to have the card on the train don't you? -

at my cinema you go to a machine and swipe and the tickets just drop out.
