I've recently applied to study medicine and have applied for 2 places in London. I would absolutely love to study in London and for ages I thought I could somehow cope with how expensive it is. However, recently I've been worrying that (provided I even get an offer lol) I won't be able to afford living in London for 5, maybe even 6 years, as I come from a low income family and prices in london just keep on going up. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with studying in London or if anyone is feeling the same!

Hi, if you come from a low income family you should be eligible for a higher maintenance loan and you get higher anyway if you are going to study in London.

Exactly what the above person said, my brother is studying a four year course at King's (Zone 1 London) and we come from a low income family but he received a student loan and although he finds London expensive he can more than afford to live there with the help of the loan.
