Heskey cannot be blamed, he had to challenge for the ball as no one was going to block the shot.
Gerrard was poor, and we needed him to play well.
    lampard offered little to nothing
scholes tackled rashly and looked out of position
ledley and sol both looks assured and confident. A solid pairing.
Ashley looks risky and is not the attacking or definding force he is made out to be.

    .
*******s, in the first half: Lampard, King and Campbell were holding together the defence. Although I admit Lampard didn't create much at all, he had a decent game on the merit of his defence alone. Scholes is the one who should be blamed in the midfield for the first half, then Gerrard.

There were two players going to block the shot, Heskeys attempt to boot the frenchman in the stomach was totally unnecessary.
Gerrard was average admittedly as for Lampard... well anyway Scholes tackled well with one exception for which he was booked.Yes Ledley and Sol looked good while Ashley made several good runs but defensively he was constantly dodgy(Though i dont recall anyone ever making him out to be much of a defensive force in the first place)

Lampard was not passing it like he usually does.
Scholes was out of position. Gerrard is such a good player we needed him to perform. His poor passing and creativityu really cost us.
