My dad thinks to think everyone is brainwashed in some sort of way and some people have told me that I am when having a different view to them that they just can't accept. Just wondering what people opinions on this is...

Surely you are brainwashed when you have the same view as everyone else rather than a different view?

It is when someone imprints an idea or a type of thinking into your brain which are against the social laws or norms. Often happens when you are most vulnerable like in your childhood.

Actually, I think people are brainwashed by society, believing that they are somehow inferior to fellow human beings, that they have to do certain things to become socially acceptable, that they have to like certain music, wear certain clothes... basically copy everyone else. You know that someone's brainwashed when they never look for better ways to do things. Read Surely You're Joking, Mr Feynman! to find out a bit more (Feynman having been one of the least brainwashed people I know about) Especially the last page...
