It's also known as Talybronx. For a reason, too.

To be fair, Nevern is slightly more prison like... but the rest of Uni Halls is lovely!!!

I'm sure one of these years they'll demolish Nevern.
There are rumours of them doing it up... but it seems almost beyond repair!! Uni Halls wouldn't be Uni Halls without the gorgeous hunk of grey looming over it though
why's it called talybronx
because it looks like a council estate :p:

Don't listen to them. They're just jealous :p:
People get very possessive over their accommodation! I don't know if I'd exactly call it a rivalry, but you get very attached to where you live. Everyone knows that it's not 5* accommodation or anything, and complaining about where you live to people who have shared a similar experience is almost like a bonding sort of thing! The larger accommodations have picked up nicknames that reflect this, so that's why you get 'Talybronx', 'Senghetto' and 'Uni Hell'.

Don't take the nicknames too seriously!

Depends which end of Talybont....

Taly is a huge campus, and if you end up right next to Tesco, you're as far out as Uni Hall is. It is true that generally Uni Hall is less far out, but I also think it is the nicer halls.
Although in Talybont there are no hills to walk up to get home... on the other hand, uni hall does have a bus :p: 6 of one, half a dozen of the other, although Uni Halls halls are much nicer IMO. Although if you're sporty you want to be in Taly, as most training things are held in the sports centre there, and it's not fun walking 40 minutes there and back to exercise anyway!
