# S1 venn diagrams question help watch

1. C and D are two events and P(D) = 0.4, P(C ∩ D) = 0.15 and P(C′ ∩ D′) = 0.1.
find P(C′ ∩ D) b P(C ∩ D ,′)c P(C), d . P(C'∩D')

find P(C′ ∩ D) b P(C ∩ D ,′)c P(C), d . P(C'∩D'
Can you clear this up at all - your question is unclear.

The best way to solve these type of questions is to draw a venn diagram. It gives you clarity.

If you draw a venn diagram , you will see
P ( C' ∩ D) = P (D) - P (C∩D)
= 0.4 - 0.15 = 0.25

Similarly, you can try for other 3 parts.
Let me know if there is any confusion now.
