To write a haiku
You must count on your fingers
Mine can't be trusted.
They're untrustworthy?
I now can't help but wonder
What they get up to....

Naughty fingers, eh?
What have you got up to miss?
You're a naughty girl!

What they get up to....
Mischief on the whole.
You wonder, they wander
See, they still can't count.

Insinuated filth!
Polysyllables don't work.
Inhibited form.

How are your fingers?
Nimbly, speedy, shapely or
A little sticky?

Me, I'm so useless!
Can't count without my fingers.
Embarrassing, eh?

The crane fly buzzes.
I wield a book, then hit it.
Crane fly is dead. Ha.

Fingers for counting
Have a limit in number
Use your toes as well
Using your toes too!
Pig, you really are filthy!
I'd have thought better....

When you kill a fly
Remember it has loved ones
Poor old fly siblings
Tell me, oh piggy,
Why do I not believe you?
Something smells fishy....

(you can pounce on that one!)

What could be fishy?
Is it a cod, a plaice or
is it girl's perfume?

Five on the first line,
Seven on the middle line,
Then five again. Done!

My mum likes Haikus
Easy class six time filler
Government happy.

(not true actually, my mum wrote an article for the TES about how she hates them )

Hear of the blind man
When walking past the fish stall
Said 'morning ladies'
You tell a joke well,
Even when in haiku form
Praise to you, my pig.

To convey one's mood
In seventeen syllables
Is very diffic

I have to confess
I stole that one from the poet
Called John Cooper Clarke.
I like John Cooper Clarke...he was well funny at our GCSE english thing we went to last year... lol.

You got that, ok?
You must only make your post
In the haiku form
There once was a glum girl named "Shilling"
Who, though she thought haikus were thrilling,
and tried and she tried
her brain wouldn't abide,
- but from it just lim'ricks came spilling

(and not even very good ones at that...*hehe*)
