Pretty much what it says for title, how do YOU study effectively, are there certain ways you study?

If I don't understand something ~ Youtube/a podcast, I can't understand it unless I have someone explain it to me verbally

Memorising dates/facts ~ copying out notes from a variety of sources {textbook, class notes, Internet}, making lists/flowchart things. Definitely recommend analogies/making up rediculous stories/comparisons for everything, helps me to remember all sorts of odd stuff

I need classical music and snacks to work effectively, and take ten minute breaks every hour or so to keep awake
