C3 Log Graph Transformation

I assumed that ln (4 - x) would be a translation of 4 units to the left. However, the answer actually translates it 4 units to the right. Why is this? I thought that f (x + a) is a translation of -a units?

You are also reflecting it in the y-axis because of the "-x".

May help to write it as ln⁡(−(x−4))\ln (-(x-4)) to get it into the format you're used to.
