So I met this nice girl through a guy I had a group project at college. I was messaging this girl, just flirting to ask her out, which I have done.

but one of the texts I ignored for a few hours, then her guy mate who she lives with texts me. I havent spoken to this guy since last year, and have never text him. he text me a mundane question, asking how my course was.

My guess is that it was to see if I was ignoring her on purpose. When I replied to to this guy the next morning he did not reply back

Is this an early sign of her being clingy? I cant deal with crazy girls, and the last one drove me wild.

    :iiam: that is puzzling.

When you put it that way it does sound like the guy has been tasked to do it, or maybe she was talking about you randomly and he wanted to ask... which doesn't explain why he didn't reply.

So you think he texted you to catch you out and prove you might be ignoring this girl? Why didn't you just reply to the girl instead of delaying your response?

I was actually driving, and when I plug my phone in, messages come up on a screen in my car. But I cannot reply.

    And yes to your questions

Hard to say but if she was trying to catch you, that would mean alarm bells for me.

The girl already sounds quite manipulative and controlling. Clingy. But best of luck to you if you're not looking to avoid her. I've never had a high opinion of people who get their friends involved in their dating business to try to meddle. She doesn't sound like a keeper to me.

She might just be nervous or just over thinking the situation. I asked her out, but she said she was busy that day, but she gave me a reason and alternative days she was free. So always a good sign.

I guess. Sorry if I came off a bit cynical yesterday. Good luck to you.
