I've been with my partner for 2.5 years now. I had a very on/off relationship with my ex for around 5 years and towards the end it became friends with benefits. I'm insanely in love with my partner and absolutely adore him; my friend started dating my ex's best friend a while ago and so I have to see him from time to time at group events. Whenever I see my ex it feels like old feelings are stirred up, mainly physical ones, and it makes me really uncomfortable.

Any advice how to deal with this? I'd never dream of acting on them and I don't want to break up with my partner, I just want to be able to see my ex and not think of old times and what ifs!

Ignore it ofc. It'll probably go away in time tbf. Espeically is your new boyf is super great and you are really happy togevs. For the love of all things good, do not tell your current beau how you feel - it could make him super uncomfortable and feel awkward (obvs).
