I've not been doing MUN for that long and I've been to two conferences but I feel like my opening speeches for the topics selected are weak and ineffective. I've been drilled into writing them in terms of 'Hook, point, action!" but I still feel like I could improve when it comes to research. This term I was given Israel and the topic I'm having the most trouble with is Nuclear Proliferation and Weapons of Mass Destruction... It would be really helpful if someone could give me some good sites to use to find information about Israel's policy and some background information on general. Cheers.

Something along the lines of 'never in western history has one group been so consistently targeted' followed up with 'in its short history, hostile neighbours have threatened.' You could work in 'non of its neighbours have had the technical capability to develop.' Maybe use the phrase ' it's brought peace to the region.'
