Guy at youth club became too attached to me! watch

I volunteered last week at a club for (young) people with disabilities, from autism, down syndrome, epilepsy or any mild-severe health issues.

I'm 17 and i socialised with an 18 year old guy with a learning difficulty of some sort and became quite attached to me.
Asking me if i had a boyfriend, sitting very close to me, asked me on a date, he ended up walking home with me after the session since we apparently live near to each other.

I felt slightly awkward but i dealt with it appropriately and remained friendly.

How can i build a friendship with the people there without being too inappropriate and kinda leading anyone on/ allowing anyone to become too attached to me.

He even asked me "do you like people like us" and that kinda broke my heart
