    Hi,
I'm currently on my year abroad and have completed just over 1 month. I am hating every second I spend here and just really want to change course and go home and reapply for uni. People keep telling me to wait and see, but I just don't know how it will get any better, as I'm not sure I want to finish this degree anymore. Help 😭

When I did my year abroad I got exactly the same feelings. I hated being so far away from my uni city and the vast majority of my friends. (I did my year abroad in China). This is totally normal and is part of the process of adapting to another culture. From experience, I can say that by staying out there, even over the holidays, you'll grow to love it and by the time your year abroad's over, you won't want to leave. Here's a link, just to show the cycle of homesickness

Whereabouts is it you're doing your year abroad?
