Contract law - silence as acceptance? watch

    • Thread Starter

A offers to buy a car from B for £4,000. A leaves a message with B that wants the car and will pick it up the following day.

I understand that the message was an offer; however, although silence alone cannot amount to acceptance, could B's presence at the house the next day indicate acceptance by conduct? If so, if A subsequently changes his mind as the size of the car did not cater his needs, what would be the legal position of A? (would Re Selectmove apply?)
Do you think parents should charge rent?
