    Hello ladies and gents!

It's not long now until I send my UCAS application off, which is a little bit terrifying to say the least. I'm applying for five universities (still deciding - I've got to be sure!) I haven't got maths as a GCSE which has caused a few problems, but I will be carrying out a level 2 functional skills test very shortly - ah! I know a few universities accept this as an equivalent to GCSE. However, I'm unsure whether they will take my application into consideration as I haven't attained it yet? if ANYONE could shed a little bit of light on this matter it would mean a lot.

Is anyone studying children's nursing and got in with functional skills? Would you recommend any universities in particular? Tips for the maths/English assessment/what to expect? so many questions I know, but I just really want this! feel free to add any additional information that might be of interest. Open ears (eyes), always.

Look forward to hearing from you lot. G X

Not having your maths qualification yet is not a problem. The other students won't have their A level or BTech results either. If you are successful after selection tests and an interview the uni's give you a conditional offer ie you get the place if you fulfil their criteria. A lot of uni's no longer accept functional skills, but I'm sure you've checked that before applying to them.
    Good luck!

Yep have done so. I've had to cross a few universities off my list, but have found just as good alternatives. Sending my UCAS away today!
