Sorry to ask again but I just want to check i'm doing it right.

    1/x-5 +6/x =2
    x/x(x-5) + 6(x-5)/x(x-5)=2
    7x-30/x(x-5)=2
    7x-30/x^2-5x=2
    7x-30=2(x^2-5x)
    7x-30=2x^2-10x
    -30=2x^2-13x
    2x^2-13x+30=0
Then you can't factorise so what do you do?

When you factorise, you work out the value of x. When you factorise that equation, make each bracket equal to 0 and then re-arrange to make x the subject.

Hi, I think you made a little mistake on 7th step, I should be 7x-30=2x^2-10x
So you can factorise it.The result(2x-5) (x+6).I hope it is right.
