I've been doing some integration by substitution, but I am really struggling with the algebra to simplify it down once I have substituted my x terms back in from u.
I got an A at AS but I am finding this algebra very difficult - attached is the working of simplifying the expression from the back of my textbook but it isn't making any sense to me at all, could someone please explain this to me?
