Makin Friends-want 2b more social

Hey, Im 21 Live in East London.
and Im findin it so difficult to meet new people and get out and about, look its Friday nite, and like any other Im online :frown:

I feel like Im not forfilling y social needs and want to have friends/more friends, but I have no idea how to go about finding people to spend time with.
anyone know the answer?

what do you do i.e. are you at uni or working? is there no way you can meet anyone through that medium? failing that, what about undertaking voluntary work or something. I've met a few friends through that in the past.

Well i suppose asking for friends online is one way of going about it :smile:

. You're not lame! You're at uni right? Can't you join societies so you can mingle with people who have common interests? Or just chatting to people on your course and asking them if they want to do something?

Yea, Im at uni and workin.. made some friends there most of which dont go out, due to religion/commitments/distance/age/choice.
vol work doesnt sound lie a bad idea, just finding the time to fit it in...

There are plenty of lonely people out there. I'm sure if you gather up the courage to chat up people, suggest doing something together, they'll be more than happy. Good luck!

must be someone who can come out, do you not have staff nights out at work or anything? me and my ex boss from work never exactly hit it off whilst working but we went out one night and got on great so we use to always go out after that and stuff, if you don't ask you'll never know. I use to ask one of my flatmates all the time did he wanna go out and he turned me down so I gave up and then one night he came out. Just because someone says no once, doesn't mean they will say it again.

the weekend just gonna, was ment to be lookin bright, dinner with work thurs, out sat nite and out tonite. but got completely cancelled, all different groups as well.

Its the uni holidays at the moment though, your social life will probably pick up after.

lol, sounds immense.
There are actually quite a lot of people on TSR from E.London though.

(quite a few are prob away for the Easter hols though)

Is there not just a couple of people you could ask out for a drink or something?

Being sociable is over-rated anyway :smile:
