History or Biochem at Uni watch

    • Thread Starter

    2 Questions:

1.I love history and want to do a degree in it however none of my a levels are history. Does it matter at Uni, I know most universities do look into it and only a few don't.

    2. Should I take a gap year to do a level history?

    Extra Info on my situation:

My a levels are quite bizarre in this field:

I was considering to do a biochem route to pursue postgrad medicine, to go on to become a psychiatrist.
I haven't been able to think about what career path I want to pursue. However, as I had been looking into medicine for a while, I was interested in psychiatry.

But, I don't like biochem and I personally don't like the other science routes into med.

The long path to become a psychiatrist has also put me off the idea.

My friends have noticed my love for history and inspired me to do something I would truly enjoy. It may seem out of the blue and sometimes I wonder am I crazy? I haven't done history related work at school/ college for almost 2 years.
