I did mine on "Don't get me started on smokers"; I would say it was my weakest piece out of the entire portfolio. I still ended up with 47/50 overall but that could still be moderated down :/

You could write about how people drop litter, about school uniform, about a subject you wish you didn't have to study, about rude people, about bus drivers? etc... just think of something that you can rant on about and try to be as persuasive as possible. Hope this helps!

Just a tip, if you're struggling to find arguments for why are footballers paid more than soldiers, search Room 101 ideas. It's pretty much the same thing and there's loaaads of ideas you can find for it on the internet.
    Hope this helped!

I would stay away from typical arguments and go with something you are passionate about. If you have a passion for something then it is most likely you can string multiple arguments together. Originality is great when it comes to written pieces and you can often tell when someone is passionate about a topic in their writing. Just think of something which angers you then write about that.

If you cannot find anything like that then Jaz made a good recommendation of Room101, watch a few episodes of that and you may find something you like.

I did about euthanasia for my language coursework, but I was thinking about anti-smoking or about why I am atheist. It's best to do something you are passionate about, like my friend did about how dogs are better than cats.
