    Yorkshire is just rubbish

Lincolnshire feeds the UK, revolutionised science through Isaac Newton and has world-wide celebrities such as Farmer Wink

Lincolnshire, obviously - the home of the yellerbelly. the land of my fathers, the home of the jet engine.

From here WW2 was won by the bombers of the USAAF and the RAF, while the farmers, meanwhile, fed the people.

And I to you. I was born in Boston when my parents lived in Spalding, brought up near Sleaford, and my ancestors were all Lincolnshire natives going back to at least the seventeenth century, no doubt back to Danelaw.

    My wife is a tyke.

Nice-I grew up in Woodall Spa which is near all of those places. Please don't let your wife vote in the poll

Yorkshire, for the countryside and landscape (and it has 2 national parks). Lincolnshire is mostly flat and boring.

I see a chance for a limerick. We have some amusingly obscure place name pronunciations in Lincolnshire, hence:

A neglected young fellow from Cowbit
Was hit on the head with a club. It
    Was shameful to see
    That the infirmary
Sent him home and advised him to rub it.

It's not even a debate, Lincolnshire doesn't even deserve to have its name muttered in the presence of God's Own County.

    You mean North Lincolnshire, right?

I would go for Lincolnshire, but South Lincolnshire.

You are unfamiliar with the wolds then? An AONB 560 square kilometres in extent.

Wouldn't matter what the other option was, Yorkshire is always best

Yorkshire. I'm biased as I'm from there, but I do really like the mix of history and countryside. :yep:
