I'm seriously not looking forward to my birthday anymore as my grandmother died in January of this year and her birthday is the same day as mine (10th November), this year I'm turning 21 and I'm just feeling really ****ing anxious about it. I don't know if I can feel happy about it anymore. I have a doctor's appointment on 16th November to talk about my anxiety as I feel like I can't talk to anyone about my feelings, I'd love to try CBT as I feel it would help me.

CBT can be really helpful, and if you come at it with an open mind it can work wonders! Good for you for taking the first steps in getting the help you need and even if you don't enjoy your birthday this year, you can begin to heal and maybe won't feel so anxious about it next year
