You get UCAS points for Level 3 qualifications e.g. A levels, AS levels, Level 3 BTECs, Grade 6 and above Music exams but not for GCSEs (as these are Level 1/Level 2 qualifications.)

    The list is here: https://www.ucas.com/ucas/undergradu.../tariff-tables

As well as what Compost has already stated, you can get UCAS points from an EPQ with an A* being around 70 points I believe.

is general studies included in this?
That varies from university to university and course to course. Not all count it, but some do.

No, they will give offers based on three A2 levels. None of those will count general studies, nor any of the points from music exams and the like. Any points from music exams etc will only have any relevance to a degree in music, and won't be counted by nearly all other courses.

Not unless they are applying for a degree in dance, violin or music. Occasionally a university at the bottom of the league tables might allow them, but as a rule, no.

but some people said that it doesn't count?
If they count, that is the level you have to be at for them to count. However, as I said, most universities won't count them unless they are directly relevant to the degree applied for.

UCAS points aren't even used a lot of the time. They more just look at the grades and your statement to see what row of person you are. Top unis will have extra exams to apply to.
