I'm male, 21 and I want to go travelling around Europe for about a month on my own (with the intention of making friends along the way).

I have just one obstacle; I'm a type 1 diabetic. My diabetes is well controlled but I have no idea where to start in terms of getting my medication abroad, storing my medication and so on. (I inject daily).

I'm hoping that someone with/or has travelled with someone who has diabetes can share their experiences.

Also - if there are any type 1 diabetics out there looking to travel aroundeurope soon it would be cool to chat and perhaps even meet up on our travels.

    Hey there

I'm not diabetic but let's assume that we're travelling together; how should I help you if you need some assistance, possibly the best way possible? I asked because, I don't really want to come across as patronising or belittling the person when assisting them; but I don't want to come across as cold either.

    Do you require refrigeration?

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
