currently enrolled on health science degree with open university. I do want to transfer to a brick uni still studying health science. ultimate goal would be to get on a paramedic course but some require 280-300 UCAS points. does anyone know how many points first year at open uni is?.. think should be standard 120 UCAS points?.. I do have 5 GCSE over a C . and a subsidiary diploma in sport which too some is irrelevant.

any other way I can get the points up and put myself ''up there'' in getting a place to study paramedic science?

    regards

OU courses don't carry UCAS points, they're level 4 which is above the UCAS point threshold. You'll need to contact the uni you want to go to and ask if what you've studied will be sufficient.

Be aware that for every year you spend with the OU you will lose 1 year of full time funding (works slightly differently if your course is NHS funded). So make sure you carefully consider your funding situation before you give up with the OU.
