Can I ask to transfer to another shop at my work due to bad management? watch

    • Thread Starter

I work as a sales assistant doing 21 hours a week. I've only been in the job for five weeks and I hate it. It's not the actual job I hate, it's the manager. The way we run things means we do not see eye to eye on a lot of things. When she trained me in the first 2 weeks of my employment, I learned what I was supposed to to run the shop. Now I am no longer training, I feel like I'm always being talked down to. I am running the shop like I am told to, but she is always having a go at me for making the smallest of mistakes. It's getting the point where I feel so inferior and that I'm not capable of doing the job when I know I am. I recently covered at another shop and I really enjoyed it there and the other people I worked with were brilliant! I am tempted to contact my area manager about whether I can transfer to this other shop. Previously I did speak to her on the phone about my worries in the job and she asked whether I liked working at this other shop better and I said yes. Would it be a good idea if I asked if I could transfer to this other shop? They do need another employee there.
Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
