So my teachers are making me apply for university this year although I'm staying an extra year to finish an AS that I have started recently (will probably take the EPQ as well next year).

I thought I would flunk it, put down top unis and purposely get declined and wait until next year when I'm ready. But now I'm debating whether I should put down mid-range universities on deferred entry instead?

I'm just wondering, if I do and I am accepted for example, will I be able to apply again next year and decline that university if I got a better offer?

Also which universities are more or less mid range close to London? It seems like most mid range unis are up in Scotland or Wales. I like Swansea, but a little far..

P.s. I want to study English literature.

I'm going to quote in Tank Girl now so she can move your thread to the right place if it's needed. :yy:

If you apply this year and get a deferred place for 2017 entry, then if you apply again next year you will automatically lose that place.
